From the Petzen Mountain Cable Car parking lot, slope tourers climb the Petzen mountain on marked routes. The Winter
Kärnten Card is scanned at the practice lift (mountain), then you continue along the edge of the slope on the 7.5-kilometer-long valley descent to the mountain station of the Petzen Mountain Cable Car at 1,705 metres above sea level. A magnificent view of southern Carinthia will take your breath away and reward you.
Attention: Access to the slopes is prohibited between 5 pm–8.30 am. Not valid for special events after 4 pm and before 8.30 am.
Tip:
Along the route, you can stop at the Petzen Nest, Emmi’s Mosthütte, the old Zollhütte, and the panoramic restaurant “oben” to fill up your belly and relax.
