A new house for Carinthia. The kärnten.museum chooses the change in living spaces, ideas, and cultures as a guide for the narrative. From the “lindworm skull” to the Dionysus mosaic, from the Großglockner relief to the Siebenhirter Sword, from the earliest traces of human settlement to the Anthropocene. Here is the journey of discovery through the regional and cultural history as well as the natural area of Carinthia a vivid experience.
Tips:
The new museum café, the columned hall, and the inner courtyards create an “open space” with alternating special presentations in the atrium (free admission).
