Seven bathing lakes with a water temperature of up to 28 degrees Celsius, as well as a picturesque setting of mountains guarantee for your memorable holidays in the area of Lake Klopeiner See – South Carinthia. Especially for bikers, South Carinthia is a great spot as it offers numerous cycle tracks, leading to the seven lakes nearby. All tracks are well marked. Special highlights are the more than 11km-long Flow Country Trail at Petzen (Europe’s longest trail of this kind), several Single Trails and the special adventure “Stollenbiken”, which is a cycle track leading underground through a mine. The area offers tracks for road racers, beginners and professionals.

The network of hiking trails covers more than 800 kilometers. In the north, the network begins at the mountain “Saualpe” leading across Carinthia to the area “Geopark Karawanken” in the south. Also, six of 17 stages of the hiking trail “Panoramaweg Südalpen” lead through Carinthia. The area is also perfect for golf lovers: The golf course “Golfpark Klopeinersee” impresses not only by a demanding golf facility but also by a fascinating panorama.

The area is especially appealing for families, as it offers hikes for all age groups leading through idyllic landscapes marked by numerous lakes and also exciting and interesting tourist attractions that highlight the bilingual culture and cuisine. The cultural and culinary diversity of this area bordering Slovenia is inspiring for everybody.
