DOMENIG STEINHAUS (Stone House)
The DOMENIG STEINHAUS in Ossiacher See is the central work of the renowned architect Günther Domenig (1934–2012). For 30 years he planned and built his sculptural architecture, which radically interprets regional mountain formations and building traditions: boldly shaped floating stones break out of craggy concrete bodies, while the spiral space rests in the depths. Moreover, come enjoy experimental events for architecture and art that take place there.
Tips:
Immerse yourself in Günther Domenig‘s opus magnum during guided tours every Wednesday at 5 pm. Selected performances, concerts and workshops allow you to experience the architecture in dialogue with art.
