This is a wonderful hiking area to discover, whether you take the cable car to the mountain station at 2,636 m above sea level and then hike on one of the paths down to the valley, or make a stop at one of the typical cabins and enjoy the traditional Carinthian cuisine. You will also have the chance to enjoy a breath-taking view of the surrounding mountains.

Coming from Villach, take the motorway A10 towards Spittal/Drau, exit Lienz/Lendorf, then continue on the state road from Lendorf going through Möllbrücke, Mühldorf, Obervellach, and Mallnitz until you reach the valley station of the Ankogel Mountain Cable Car.
