Nestled within the fertile landscape of the lower Lavant Valley, St. Paul’s Abbey towers on a rock cone. The abbey harbours great art treasures from the Middle Ages such as the Adelheid Cross, millennia-old manuscripts, and paintings by outstanding artists such as Dürer, Rubens and Rembrandt. Starting in May 2025, the museum will host the exhibition “Schatzhaus Kärntens – Universum Wissen” (“Treasury of Carinthia – Universe of Knowledge”).
